Update

Hey Folks! I'm back from an unbelievably fun time at CHA and in the process of getting settled into the new house. My stamping stuff is no where NEAR seeing the light of day yet! I was so happy to see so many friends in Cali last week...I can't wait to do it again! ;) I'll post pics soon but for those of you who are my facebook friends you can see most of them right there!

So for those who don't know...Our Craft Lounge is sneaking the new sets from the CHA 2010 release over at the Lounge! 24 new sets..15 designed by ME! Yay! Make sure to check them out (you can see the actual sets at the Lounge plus some completely fabulous samples made by the rockin' DT...those girls are AMAZING!)

Once I get settled in...if that ever happens... I'm going to be changing my blog around. I'm sick of the banner and I've had a couple peeps want to know what sets I've designed. So I think I'm going to list or link them all on my sidebar. Just giving y'all a heads up! LOL!

Well...I'm off today to my dd's preschool for a belated birthday celebration for her. 2 1/2 hours with 3 year olds TIRES ME OUT! Wish me luck! ;)

Hearts and Hugs

This week's spotlight stamp set over at the Lounge is a set I designed called Hearts and Hugs. The lovely Deb Felts has been rockin' her valentine's with it so be sure to check it out and let her feel the love! LOL!

Naturally I have nothing of my own to show you...but here is why....
On Friday we are (fingers crossed) buying a new house...and on Saturday I fly to California for CHA. LMAO! What do you think? Am I busy much? Some of you may know that in addition to illustrating for OCL I am a real estate agent. Let me tell ya folks...there is nothing harder than being your own agent. Talk about STRESS! I recently helped my brother and his family find/purchase a house and I thought THAT was stressful! Ayeyeye! Anyways...I see the light at the end of the tunnel and (warning!) I will be in rare form, I'm sure, in California...leaving all my stresses behind...and just having some FUN! :) BRING IT BABY!

Soooo...needless to say, all of my stamping supplies are packed up and away. Not sure when I'll be back to stamping...but it shouldn't be too long right?? I've got birthdays coming up..Valentines Day...there's lots to be done!

I can't WAIT to see everyone at CHA...remember you can find me at the OCL booth...or send me an email/facebook me and we'll swap digits!

Ok peeps...I'm outtie. Be sure to check in on the Lounge and leave comments...hope to see you VERY soon!!

Eclectic Coterie

Defined: Coterie (noun) co·ter·ie [koh-tuh-ree]: an exlusive circle of people with a common purpose
The purpose?: A party to celebrate the new colors of Tim Holtz® Distress Ink Pads

That's right folks! Over at my favorite store eclectic Paperie they are hosting an "eclectic coterie" to celebrate the 12 new colors of Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads! What does that mean? Well, first of all it means that they are making available (by pre-order) all 12 new colors of Distress Inks!! The more people that come to the party (and purchase a bundle), the more FREE products everyone will receive! So tell your friends! Who would want to miss this!?! I certainly don't!
Check out their site HERE to see more details about it. And join the party!

On another note...anyone out there going to CHA? I'll be there hanging at the Our Craft Lounge booth...I have new sets that will be released at the event! Stop by and say hi if you're there...and check out what I've been up to (and why I've been MIA on this blog! lol)
I'd love to see you!!!!

Happy Birthday Cami!!

Happy Friday Folks...Today is the birthday of one of the sweetest people you will ever come to know. My friend Cami, co-owner of Our Craft Lounge, is celebrating her birthday today and let me tell ya folks, she's been working her tail off getting ready for CHA in a couple weeks (make sure you come by to visit us at our booth!!) and she really needs a day all about HER! LOL!

I didn't have time to make and post a card for her here today (big surprise there...those that know me know that I've been working my tail off too!) but I wanted to send out a huge Happy Birthday to her...cuz I just love her so!

That's all for now! Keep checking out the OCL blog to see creations made by the fab dt! And to catch a glimpse of some of my sets (this week's highlighted set was Love Notes)!

Have a great day!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

FINALLY! I have not been in the full Holiday swing until now. I've begun my baking (and trying SO hard not to nibble along the way) and have begun wrapping presents...although I'm not even close to being done shopping and creating. Tree is up. Stockings hung. I seem to be on the right track...we will see what I can rock out this week!

I hope all of you are rockin' it as well! The one thing I have totally slipped on are my holiday cards. I have not made a single one...can you believe that? OY! What I have done though are my holiday tags (you know, gift tags..not t!m tags!). Here is one of the tags that will be gracing my packages this year:

Like every other stamper/crafter out there...I make a few designs and then mass produce off of them. This is one of my favorites! That little fish is thinking "PHEW"! I just love this little fisherman penguin dude from my Parka Penguins set. This is so very cutesy and so very easy to make. I used copic B00 for the "water" and OCL crafty sparkles - sugar for the "ice". So simple...and so easy to mass produce.

Stay tuned for tomorrow...I will be showing you another one of the tags I made using this set.

OK, I lied...

LOL...but not intentionally! I believe I promised in my last post that my blogging would pick up...and it hasn't. I've never been a consistent blogger...but these lapses in posts are getting ridiculous! I'm sorry folks! I will try to change my ways...and in an effort to do that I'm actually going to be typing up posts for this whole week. Whaddya think about THAT? Yup...you'll see something from me everyday. A little bit of debbie doodle to brighten your week...how does THAT grab ya? LOL!

So to start I figured I better show you what I made for Thanksgiving..yes...Thanksgiving. I realize we are in full swing for the holidays but if I don't share these now I never will right? Here are placecards I made for my mom's table (we eat at my moms house). There is not a lot to these b/c in true dbdoodle form I was making these at the last possible minute. But they were a HIT this Thanksgiving and a request was already made for them again next year!

These were so easy to make. You can see that all I did was print out a photo (here is my beautiful step-daughter Melissa), punch the photo out using a nestie...add a scallop circle as a mat and glue it down. The stamps are from my OCL Nuts About You set. I colored the images in with copics but don't remember which ones now...although I could take a really good guess! ;)

Here is a side view...I don't remember the measurements to this (it's pretty easy just to eyeball) but if anyone is interested just email me and I'll get them to you! See my brother in the background of this pic? Well here he is close up:

So maybe next year I will have these made up ahead of time and I will be showing you them BEFORE the holiday! (I wouldn't hold my breath!)

Stay tuned...I'll be showing you a christmas tag I made using my parka penguins set tomorrow (no...nothing like t!m's tags...)....although did you SEE THEM?! They are GORGEOUS!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
